A small intervention

Look up.

A small card can sometimes do what a notification never will: remind us that the person in front of us matters more than the screen in our hands.

Your attention is worth a lot. Give it to someone that's important.
Why this exists

We don't need another app.

We need small reminders to be where we already are. With the people who are already there.

01

Small

No campaign. No complicated system. Just a physical card that takes a few seconds to read.

02

Human

The cards are meant to be given from one person to another. A gentle reminder, never a lecture.

03

Open

Give them away. Print them yourself. Make your own version. The idea matters more than the brand.

How it works

Put a little presence into the world.

Carry a few.

Keep some cards in your bag, wallet, desk or pocket.

Give one away.

Give it to someone who might appreciate the reminder. No explanation necessary.

Let it continue.

They can keep it, pass it on, or print more.

The people around you don't need your likes. They need your attention.
Put the phone down. Look up. Be there.
Share the idea

Want some cards?

If you'd like to distribute the cards, just get in touch. Tell me roughly how many you'd like and where they should go.

Do it yourself

Print a few. Give them away.

You don't have to order anything. If you like the idea, download a printable version and make your own cards.

FAQ

A few questions.

What is Presence?

Presence is a small movement around being more present with the people and places around us. The cards are one simple way of starting that conversation.

Is this a non-profit?

Not exactly. There is no non-profit organization behind it. The idea is simply to make something useful, share it, and keep the project sustainable.

Can I print the cards myself?

Yes. That's encouraged. Download the printable version, print a few, and give them to people you care about.

Can I order cards for an event?

Yes. If you need a larger quantity for an event, organization, school, company or community, get in touch.

Can I create my own message?

Absolutely. The idea is bigger than one particular sentence. A good card should create a small pause, not tell people what to do.

Why not just delete social media?

Maybe that's right for some people. But Presence isn't about rejecting technology. It's about remembering that technology should serve our lives, not quietly take them over.
